    Liposuction Florida

Are you thinking about having your liposuction in Florida?

We can help you make up your mind. At Liposuction Florida, we have all the information you need to have your liposuction in the Sunshine State, from the details of the procedure, to preparations and recovery and finding the best liposuction surgeons in Florida.

Florida is actually one of the top destinations for plastic surgery procedures, including liposuction, which is one of the most popular in the United States. There are plenty of clinics and surgeons here, and the beautiful weather usually helps in recovery.

Liposuction Florida – Providing The Basics On Liposuction

Liposuction, also known as lipoplasty or simply lipo, is the removal of excess fat from certain areas of the body. These areas include:

    Abdomen
    Arms
    Back
    Breasts
    Buttocks
    Face
    Flanks
    Legs
    Neck
    Thighs

First, the surgeon marks these areas and then uses a wetting solution, which helps minimize the blood loss. The actual liposuction surgery begins when the surgeon makes an incision and then inserts a device in order to break down the fat and suck it out.

You can decide how much fat you want to be removed, though your surgeon will usually give a recommendation.

The procedure can take a few hours, depending on how many areas are treated and how much fat is removed, though most surgeons limit the treatment to three areas per procedure for safety reasons. Sometimes, liposuction is combined with other cosmetic procedures, as well.

Once the fat has been removed, the incisions are closed, usually using the traditional stitching method – the stitches have to removed after a few days – and then an absorbent pad is applied over the wound, followed by a compression garment.

After the procedure, you will be taken to the recovery room where you will stay for a few hours and once you feel fine, you can have someone drive you home.

The pain, swelling and bruising will last for a few days but will gradually subside. You may experience dizziness, nausea and fever, as well.

If you have had a tumescent liposuction, expect some blood to leak out from the wound, even soak through the absorbent pads, which is normal and will, in fact, help minimize swelling.

Normally, you can resume physical activities after 5 days and return to work after ten.
